Local Pubs and Restaurants

Home Farm Café

Again only a few minutes drive from Yarner down towards Bovey Tracey. Local award winning food prepared in a lovely kitchen with a lovely open plan eating area. Big carpark and orchard walks around the farm too.

The Rugglestone Inn

A favourite of ours! It doesn’t get much more country than this lovely old pub. Delicious food, local beer and friendly staff. Sit in the garden and have the local ducks and chickens wondering around the tables after scraps. Big garden with lovely views so be sure to either call ahead or get there early because it gets very busy!

The Tinpickle and Rhum

A lovely local pub at the foot hill of Haytor. With a traditional pub menu from pies to fish and chips this is a lovely stop off before or after a walk around Haytor.

The Rock Inn

A quite country pub within a few miles of Yarner. It boasts great food and a lovely garden to sit in in the summer. The Rock Inn has received an AA Rosette Award for Culinary Excellence every year since 1996 and has now been awarded 2AA Rosettes for the first time in 2016.

The Old Library

A fantastic restaurant within Ashburton – a local town within Dartmoor. Using all locally sourced produce this is not to be missed. The two young chefs started out at a local restaurant and have since thrived and now opened their own lovely spot in town. They get very busy during the weekends and you will need to make a reservation.

The Bay Horse

A cosy and welcoming local pub in Ashburton with a log fire and a friendly face behind the bar. They have local beer and cider, a pool table and a darts board. This is a wonderful pub with bags of character! They don’t serve food but allow you to bring in your own and eat by the fire.
